India and Pakistan agree to Immediate Ceasefire after US Mediation
India and Pakistan have agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire effective from 5 PM IST on May 10, 2025, following U.S.-mediated talks led by President Donald Trump. The agreement comes after a severe escalation triggered by an April attack in Kashmir that killed 26 Hindu tourists, which India attributed to Pakistan-based militants. Both nations have committed to halting all military actions across land, air, and sea, and plan to resume peace talks at a neutral venue on May 12.
