IndusDC earmarks Rs 100 Cr to support the growth of new startups

IndusDC, a forward-thinking venture studio dedicated to reducing 1 gigaton of CO2 emissions by 2035, has allocated Rs 100 crore of blended finance for FY25 and FY26 to collaborate on building innovative tech startups in the industrial and energy sectors. With a goal of creating five startups in the next two years and more than 50 globally within the next decade, we will actively participate as co-founders and support entrepreneurs along the way.

Each startup launched by our studio will have access to Rs 20 crore in capital, comprising tech development grants, equity for initial revenue growth, and funding for scaling operations.

We are excited to announce that we have secured a commitment for the first five startups from Mirik Gogri of Spectrum Impact, the family office of Aarti Industries Ltd promoters.

With a skilled entrepreneurial team at the helm, they are well-equipped to discover innovative IP entrepreneurs and establish successful global ventures," mentioned Gogri.

The startup, established in 2023 by Kushant Uppal, Satyanarayanan Seshadri, and Kaustubh Hanmantgad, is gearing up to solidify partnerships with investors in FY25, securing grants, equity, and debt.

With the support of angel investors Ashish Gupta from Helion Ventures and Sri Myneni from Knoah Solutions, IndusDC is dedicated to creating innovative platforms that guide startups through the journey from the lab to the market. Uppal emphasized the studio's focus on IP-centric decarbonization and its potential as an appealing asset class for investors.

Currently, IndusDC is collaborating with IIT Madras to develop three hard-tech startups and is looking to forge alliances with other technology and research institutions to drive innovation and build successful ventures.
